You can view and download your own and public MapHub maps directly in QGIS:
-
Navigate to Plugins > MapHub > Get Map from MapHub
-
Browse through the maps in your projects or the public maps
-
To visualize a Map in QGIS do either of the following:
- Click one the Download button next to a Map to download it and open it in QGIS
- Click on Tiling Service to stream it into QGIS via tiling, much faster specifically for large datasets.
-
In either case, the map will be added to your QGIS canvas as a layer
When selecting Tiling Service, the plugin uses MapHub's tiling service to display maps quickly, even for large datasets. This is particularly useful for getting a quick overview of your data before deciding to download it for editing.
Map Type | Viewing Method | Performance |
---|---|---|
